UEFA Champions League Final 2011: Manchester United Lineup

The lineups are out for the UEFA Champions League final, and Manchester United's starting XI is as expected. Javier Hernandez, aka Chicharito will start up top with Wayne Rooney starting behind him in the hole. Park Ji-Sung starts on the left hand side to try to contain Daniel Alves and Lionel Messi, while Nani sits out. Here are the lineups and substitutes.

Manchester United Lineup (4-4-1-1): Edwin van der Sar; Fabio da Silva, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra; Antonio Valencia, Michael Carrick, Ryan Giggs Park Ji-Sung; Wayne Rooney; Javier Hernandez

Manchester United Bench: Tomasz Kuszczak, Chris Smalling, Darren Fletcher, Paul Scholes, Anderson, Nani, Michael Owen

The biggest news here is that Dimitar Berbatov does not even make the bench. It's hard to envision him being able to do anything against Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol, while Michael Owen is essentially an older and slower Chicharito, but it's still a bit of a slap in the face to United's leading scorer and record signing.
