UEFA Champions League Final 2011: Barcelona In Control, Now Generating Chances

The match has been going at breakneck speed so far and I don't think that can continue all game. It's Barcelona in the ascendency now as Manchester United seem to have tired a little - Lionel Messi is putting together some amazing little runs through the middle and very nearly slips Pedro through on the left at one opportunity only to see the hulking figure of Nemanja Vidic clear the ball away for a throw in.

You can tell that United aren't in the best moment just by watching what happens when they win the ball. Earlier they'd have controlled and pushed forwards, now they're just hammering the ball upfield. That's not a good plan against Barcelona, and they're now in control of the game. David Villa just gave Edwin van der Sar a bit of a scare with a rocket past his right post from range, and then only a rare piece of poor control from Messi stopped it being 1-0 seconds later. We're still at 0-0 in Wembley.
