UEFA Champions League Final 2011: Barcelona Dominant, Manchester United Sloppy At Wembley

Oh that's an absolutely brilliant piece of defending by Nemanja Vidic. Barcelona seemed certain to score as hordes of red and blue shirts burst into the Manchester United penalty area, but the Serbian defender appeared out of nowhere and slid clearly through the ball, eventually releasing Wayne Rooney on the United left. His good work ultimately leads to a pass towards the industrious Park Ji-Sung right in front of Victor Valdes' goal, and a moment of indecisiveness by Gerard Pique almost lets the Korean in. The defender recovers just in time to deny him.

Ryan Giggs then makes a horrendous mistake in the midfield, giving the ball away with an awful backwards pass while the rest of his team is trying to break upfield. The only reason Lionel Messi doesn't end up scoring is that he started out of position on the left - if he had been central he'd have been available for a pass clean through on Edwin van der Sar. So, all Barca right now, but still 0-0.
