The Chicago Fire could use a win in the worst way. Through the first half against the San Jose Earthquakes, it's so far shaping up as another frustrating day. Despite outshooting their opponents 7-1, they are scoreless at the half.
Chicago Fire Vs. San Jose Earthquakes: Scoreless At Halftime
The Fire have not won since beating Sporting Kansas City in Week 2 and have now gone eight matches without tasting victory. Prior to last week's loss, the Fire had tied four straight.
The Earthquakes, after a slow start, came into this match on a two-game winning streak, but haven't looked particularly aggressive so far. Chris Wondolowski, who has been their best offensive player dating back to last year, has yet to take a shot in the game, which will be his last before joining the United States Gold Cup team.
