After that bright spell of Real Madrid pressure, it's a little bit surprising that Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta would have the first shot on target of the match, but he does. Pedro's jinking run from the right beats both Marcelo and Ricardo Carvalho, but his pass is too far behind Iniesta and the chance looks gone. Then Angel di Maria gives up possession immediately, and Iniesta is on the ball in a dangerous position, but his attempt is weak and well wide of Iker Casillas' goal. No threat there, but at least there was a shot.
Barcelona Vs. Real Madrid, 2011 UEFA Champions League Semifinal: Andres Iniesta Has Game’s First Shot
Barcelona don't exactly look nervous, but they do look less confident than they're used to. They're relying on Madrid players fouling them more than being able to pass around them (and Lassana Diarra is making their job easy in that regard, to be fair) and it's clear that Real Madrid's press is having an impact on them. However, Madrid's forward players are having to drop too far back to win possession, meaning that swift counterattacks are right now very difficult for them.
