We haven't had a Real Madrid foul in the last thirty seconds ago, so Xabi Alonso goes in hard and late on Lionel Messi, earning himself a yellow card for his troubles. That was a little bit pointless from the ex-Liverpool man, but it's not really a very big deal in the grand scheme of things, I suppose. All Real need to do is score and not concede - yellow cards are a secondary concern at best.

Speaking of fouls, though, Javier Mascherano should have just conceded one after sliding in on Mesut Ozil as the German was attempting to skip through a crowd of Barcelona shirts on the right side. He succeeds but has to jump out of the way of what could have been a nasty challenge from Mascherano, and then the ball rolls out of play and it's a rather fortunate goal kick for Victor Valdes.
