Gareth Bale Injury Forces PFA Player Of The Year Out For The Season

While I don’t think anyone believes Charlie Adam went in attempting to hurt Bale (and really, how would you know?), what was clear right at the beginning is that his challenge was reckless, dangerous and could (and did) badly hurt the victim. The fact that he wasn’t issued a booking for that nonsense is, in layman’s terms, crazy. Presumably the Premier league will claim that since the referee saw it and took no action other than to award Spurs a free kick, the case is closed.
