Mexico is ready for their final tuneup prior to this summer's Gold Cup as they take on New Zealand in Denver, CO. For the Mexicans, they will look to replicate their performance from last weekend's friendly, but with a better result. The Mexicans dominated Ecuador and looked top notch, but they only drew 1-1. Aldo de Nigris was poor and they lacked bite up top, although getting Javier Hernandez for the Gold Cup will definitely help. Either way, El Tri remains clear favorites for the tournament and will use this match as their final preparation.

New Zealand is just looking for a good match. While often overlooked and/or mocked, the Kiwis were actually the only team to go undefeated at last summer’s World Cup where they drew all three of their matches. Even so, this is a match Mexico should win and head into the Gold Cup full of confidence.
