Not too much in the way of surprises here in Denmark - Spain are the better side, and England have found themselves behind and having to chase the match. On the plus side, they're only one nil down thanks to a goal of dubious legality. On the minus side, they're technically and tactically outmatched and appear to have absolutely zero hope of getting back into the game. I'd call that a bad start by England, but Spain are just so good it's hardly embarrassing that the Three Lions are being outplayed.
Spain Vs. England, UEFA European Under-21 Championships 2011: Spain Up 1-0 at Halftime
England actually started fairly well, with their direct style seeming to unsettle their opposition, forcing Spain into several mistakes. However, Spin were able to break at speed from an England corner, earning one of their own, and Javier Martinez's header was redirected into Frank Fielding's net by Ander Herrera, perhaps with his hand. Since that goal, England have looked more than a little bit lost, although they have had a couple of half-chances to test David de Gea in Spain's net. It's not exactly looking good for Stuart Pearce's side.
