Even going down by a goal in the 3rd minute couldn't slow down the suddenly surging Seattle Sounders, as they won their third straight game and topped the New England Revolution 2-1 on Saturday. After Sainey Nyassi gave the Revolution the lead, the Sounders stormed back with a Tyson Wahl free kick and Alvaro Fernandez scored six minutes later.

That was all the Sounders would need, although the Revolution did provide a few scares. Rajko Lekic had one shot miss just wide and Zach Schilawski had a shot hit the crossbar, but the Revs could never find the equalizer.
The Sounders have now gone unbeaten in their past six, a stretch of matches that has seen them post a +5 goal difference and surge to the second highest point total in the league. Since starting the season with consecutive losses, they have gone 8-2-6.
Like in previous matches, the Sounders seemed to find yet another player to contribute. This time it was Wahl, who had never scored a MLS goal during his previous 57 appearances that have stretched over parts of six seasons. Wahl’s goal also gives the Sounders a league-high 13 different players who have scored at least one goal this season.
