Spain’s players are better at keeping possession of the ball than anything else, so passes like the one that jones made can’t become a regular thing for the United States. Winning the ball back from Spain in the midfield is next to impossible, so the United States has to make sure their possessions result in some kind of positive move on the occasion that they actually get the ball.
