There are plenty of transfer rumors flying around the Spanish media but despite a great deal of players being connected with a great number of clubs (and vice versa), we are still wearing for the first shoe to drop. Which is to say, waiting to see if Barcelona or Real Madrid make the first move in the transfer window.
Rumors The Only Thing Moving In Spain For Now
Despite different denials and acknowledgements from agents and team owners, the Alexis Sanchez to Barcelona rumors keep moving right along. The latest bit of news come from Bojan Krkic’s agent who claims that Barca is indeed in talks with Udinese and that his client is being offered as part of a potential deal to bring the Chilean winger to the Camp Nou. There’s also been some buzz in the Italian media about Bojan moving to Roma with the appointment of former Barcelona B manager Luis Enrique as the club’s new manager.
Giuseppe Rossi rumors have cooled considerably though the Villarreal's forward caused an unintentional stir by flying through the Barcelona airport on his way to New Jersey for vacation. You can imagine the nonsense that spread at the word Rossi was in Barcelona, though there was zero evidence that he was doing anything more than getting ready to catch a plane to the United States.
The Cesc Fábregas to Barcelona talk is still around as well, though it's been much quieter thanks to the ruckus surrounding Sanchez and Rossi. Despite reports that Cesc would be willing to take lower wages to join the Catalan club, the announcement of Barca's €45 million war chest has allowed the English media to pour cold water on the rumors. It seems obvious to the BBC and many other outlets that this will not be enough to pry the midfielder away from Arsenal.
