Rene Adler Injury Update: Back To Training

Bayer Leverkusen have announced via their website that goalkeeper Rene Adler has finally returned to the pitch. The 26 year old shot stopper was injured in a preseason fixture against Red Bull Salzburg. He had surgery on his right knee before the season started.

Rene Adler Injured, Will Miss Start Of Season For Bayer Leverkusen

He told the official club website, “I need this surgery If I want to be able to play this coming season without pain.” The surgery will be performed in Augsburg by knee specialist Dr. Ulrich Bönisch. The doctor will go in to remove scar tissue from the damaged area.
