VIDEO: Sporting KC Has Some Fun With Canadian Stereotypes

Honestly not quite sure what to make of this video. I'm assuming it's real, as there are no obvious signs that it's not. I guess I'd like to applaud Sporting Kansas City for not taking themselves overly seriously, but ... really?

I don’t know that there’s any reason for anyone to be offended over this, as everything on here is pretty harmless. I just don’t think it’s particularly funny.

For starters, I’m a little appalled that someone thought Matt Stairs was famous enough to be included in this ... TWICE!!!! As a lover of comedy, this is the only thing that makes this borderline offensive. No Pam Anderson? No Jim Carey? But Matt Stairs twice? My head is going to explode.

And while we’re questioning the choice of images, we couldn’t come up with anything funnier than Tim Horton’s and maple syrup? Is a big gooey plate of poutine too edgy? No one thought of putting a traffic sign with kilometers on it? Come on people, making fun of Canada in totally cliche ways is not that hard. Seriously, two pictures of Matt Stairs...
