Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has confirmed that Javier Pastore has been sold to Paris Saint-Germain, ending the second biggest transfer saga of the summer (maybe) and leaving us with just Carlos Tevez to wonder about. The Ligue Un side is set to rule the world, with Director of Sport Leonardo chasing Serie A players to bolster the club, enticing them in with Qatari money and designing a club almost destined to take the French title. PSG has brought in Jeremy Menez from Roma, Mohamed Sissoko from Juventus, Salvatore Sirigu from Palermo ... but the biggest capture has to be Pastore.
Javier Pastore To Paris Saint - Germain Officially Official
The Argentine playmaker will certainly enhance the attack of PSG, running into space, slipping past defenders, making perfectly placed intelligent passes. Pastore is still young, 22, and will likely flourish at his new club, provided that they give him the opportunity to attack and truly show off his creativity. Palermo, meanwhile, will certainly miss their shining star, but will be looking to Josip Iličić to step up.
