After being linked with a move to Manchester United, Mirko Vucinic will remain in Italy by moving from AS Roma to Juventus for €15 million. The 27-year-old spent the last five years in the Italian capital, but will now pull on the shirt of The Old Lady after passing a medical and signing a new four-year deal.
Mirko Vucinic Seals Move From Roma To Juventus
Juventus has finalized the signing of Mirko Vucinic from Roma for €15 million with the hope that the Montenegrin can give their attack a boost

Vucinic scored 19 goals two years ago for Roma, which only trails the 22 he scored for Lecce in 2004-2005 for a career high. Last season he spent most of the time out on the wing and his goal total dropped to 11, but the Montenegrin says that he is fine playing on the wing or at striker for Juve.
“I am excited and happy to be at Juve. Roma will always be in my heart, but that chapter is now closed. I am happy to join Juventus,” Vucinic told the club’s website.
“I can play as first or second striker, or on the wing. Whichever role, I’m happy to play in it. And if (coach Antonio) Conte finds me a fourth position, I’m at his disposal.”
Juventus may be the most popular club in Italy and the most successful in Serie A history, but they’ve fallen on hard times recently. The match fixing scandal put a black mark on the club, but they have finished as high as second place since. Consecutive seventh place finishes have the club in the doldrums now though, not only missing out on competing for the league title, but not even in the running for a Champions League place.
Vucinic will help them try to climb back up the table and he looks like a good bet to improve an attack that will need at least a dozen goals to make a European return. His versatility and ability to move about the field will do wonders for a team that can get very stagnant, but the real question will be whether the rest of the Juventus attack can ward off the effects of age.
Now that Vucinic is on board it also almost guarantees the exit of fellow striker Amauri. He hasn't been included on the team's preseason roster and looks set to make a permanent move away from Juve after spending the second half of last season on loan at Parma.
