Tottenham Hotspur have been trying to resolve their problems at striker for some time now, having bids for Europe's top hitmen repeatedly refused over the last few transfer windows. This time, however, they've got their man, or at least some approximation of him: Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor is heading to White Hart Lane from Manchester City on a season-long loan.
Tottenham Hotspur Sign Emmanuel Adebayor On Season-Long Loan
Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of striker Emmanuel Adebayor on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City.

Adebayor had rather fallen out of fashion at City after his big money move from Arsenal, where he scored 62 times in 143 matches, but he re-discovered his form with Real Madrid while on loan last season and still has the raw strength to succeed in the Premier League. Even if many are skeptical about his position as a top player, he's certainly a huge upgrade on the Peter Crouch/Roman Pavlyuchenko/Jermain Defoe troika Harry Redknapp has been running out, so it's hard to paint this as anything but a good move for Tottenham.
Obviously, this move makes that trio surplus to requirements, so get ready for those rumours springing up all over the place too. Also, Arsenal fans are going to hate Adebayor even more now, so that’ll be funny.
