Although the Luka Modric rumours are dying down for now, Tottenham Hotspur are still in the market for midfielders, and apparently they're on the verge of signing West Ham united midfielder Scott Parker, with a move to be confirmed imminently:

Parker, of course, is Harry Redknapp's favourite thing in the world: England international, hard-working, and with Premier League experience. The fact he has awesome hair assumedly doesn't hurt. Anyway, he'd be a good buy for Tottenham, who've been reduced to starting Jake Livermore and Niko Kranjcar in the centre this year - a Parker-Modric duo looks much more appealing. For £5.5M, this isn't bad value, either.
