Former Chelsea man Shaun Wright-Phillips is set for his second move away from Manchester City to join recently-promoted Queens Park Rangers, according to those fun-loving and feisty Sky Sports News sources, who are also claiming that QPR had to beat out the dread forces of Bolton Wanderers to acquire the diminutive winger. It's not the most exciting move, for those who aren't that interested in Roberto Mancini's cast-offs, but it'll probably help Rangers stay in the league.
Queens Park Rangers Transfer Rumors: Shaun Wright-Phillips Deal Close
Due to his high-profile flop at Stamford Bridge and his indifferent performances in an England shirt, Wright-Phillips’ early form, when he burst onto the scene as a young goalscoring winger with City tends to be forgotten. It’s doubtful that the 29-year-old will regain the form of yesteryear, but he doesn’t have to to be worth a flier for a team that needs help, and QPR, like every club up from the Championship, need help.
