Borussia Dortmund center back Neven Subotic is expected to miss the next ten days after picking up an injury.
Neven Subotic Injury: Defender Out 10 Days With Slight Groin Tear
Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic will miss be out the next 10 days, including missing the club’s next match against Hoffenheim, after picking up a slight groin tear before their match against Hamburg.

Before their match against Hamburg, the club announced that Subotic would be unavailable due to a groin injury. After the match they revealed that Subotic had a slight muscle tear in his groin and would also miss the next match against Hoffenheim. Brazilian defender Felipe Santana started in place of Subotic against Hamburg and will likely do the same against Hoffenheim.
The Serbian international, 22, will also miss a friendly match for his country on Wednesday against Russia.
Subotic started 31 out of the 34 Bundesliga matches for Borussia Dortmund last season. He is partnered in the middle of the Dortmund defense with German international Mats Hummels. Subotic and Hummels have formed an outstanding partnership together helping Dortmund to the best defense in the league last season allowing only 22 goals. While Santana is more than capable of filling in for Subotic, the club will need a full strength side as they prepare for their run in the UEFA Champions League.
