    Two More Carling Cup Matches Postponed Due To London Riots

    The rioting in London has forced the postponement of more Carling Cup matches, this time with the matches between Crystal Palace and Crawley Town and the one between Bristol City and Swindon Town being called off. The decisions were made after Crystal Palace and Bristol City, the two home clubs, met with police on Tuesday morning and agreed that the police were better off helping quell the rioting than at the football grounds.

    These are the third and fourth Carling Cup matches originally scheduled for Tuesday night to be postponed because of the rioting. Matches between Charlton and Reading and between West Ham and Aldershot were postponed on Monday.
