Oh my word that's a goal worthy of winning any game. It won't, of course, but what it has done is tie things up in Signal Iduna Park, where Arsenal had been holding onto an improbable lead against defending German champions Borussia Dortmund thanks to a Robin van Persie goal at the stroke of half time. For most of the rest of the game, Dortmund had been pressing their visitors to the brink, and now they've finally cracked them.
Borussia Dortmund Vs. Arsenal, 2011 UEFA Champions League: Ivan Perisic Makes It 1-1 With Fantastic Goal
There was nothing that Wojciech Szczesny could have done about it either - the goal was an absolute belter from substitute Ivan Perisic who volleyed into the top corner from long range to make a goal out of absolutely nothing and the game 1-1. That's his first goal for the club, and it'll very probably be his best. Dortmund have their tails up now, and are pressing for a winner. Can they manage it with time running out?
