UEFA Europa League 2011, Matchday 1: PSG Win, Tottenham Draw In Surprise-Free Early Session

There was plenty of solid football played in the early round of fixtures in the UEFA Europa League, but no big shocks. Paris St. Germain came out with a solid 3-1 win, Tottenham’s youth and reserve team got a draw away to PAOK, and Stoke City managed to pull off a draw against Dynamo Kiev.

Lazio probably had the biggest disappointment of the round, drawing FC Vaslui at home despite playing close to a full strength side. Djibril Cisse scored in the first half on a penalty, but Vaslui took the lead in the second with goals on either side of a Luciano Zauri red card. However, a 10-man Lazio side was able to find an equalizer through Giuseppe Scuili to avoid an embarrassing loss.

Here are all of the results from across the early games.
