That Jozy Altidore guy, well, he might not be done after all. Sure, he still doesn't have much of a first touch still and his runs are still questionable on good days, but he is still a physical specimen. Guys as amazingly athletic as him still make special things happen and what he did today for AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League was pretty special. The American hit an absolute screamer for the Dutch side's first goal in a 4-1 route of Malmo as he continued his great play for his new club.

Of course, Jozy was never really done. 21 year olds are not done, but as his career stagnated in the last year there were plenty of people ready to write him off. Now he's off to a blistering start in his first year with AZ and scoring goals like this. Not too shabby. United States manager Jurgen Klinsmann can only hope that this Jozy shows up when the national team gets together and considering Jozy has long been someone who has played better for his country than club, he has reason to think that Jozy just might be able to develop into the kind of striker that Americans have been yearning for.
