Over the weekend, Real Madrid lost to Levante. If you are unaware, Levante are not a very good team. They're expected to be in a relegation battle all season, and Real Madrid should have beaten them easily. Thankfully for the ears of all neutrals, their fans have not started crisis talks or demand that Jose Mourinho resign. There were tangible problems with the way they played against Levante, yes, but Jose is The Special One. Chill. He's got this.
Racing Santander Vs. Real Madrid, 2011 Spanish La Liga Week 4 Matchup: Los Merengues Expect Win
Jose Mourinho is under a tiny bit of pressure after Real Madrid’s loss to Levante. They should bounce back on Wednesday with a win over Racing Santander.
Real Madrid travels away to face Racing Santander on Wednesday, a team that is demonstrably worse than Levante. That takes some doing. It should be a bit of a walkover for Real, but they're facing a lot of key injuries. All of Pepe, Fabio Coentrao, Sami Khedira and Nuri Sahin are unavailable. Either Lassana Diarra or Esteban Granero is going to have to play in the center of midfield. The former player has been a bit of a loose cannon lately, while the latter is not really a central midfielder.
Anything less than a win would be embarrassing, though, and might actually get the lynch mob sicked on Mou. It’s not going to happen, though...right? Surely a team who was as thoroughly embarrassed by Atletico Madrid as Racing were this weekend can’t possibly hold off Los Merengues.
Then again, we said the same thing about Levante
