Barcelona is well-known around the world for their beautiful attacking play, but they're able to be so aggressive going forward because their defense is brilliant and among the most reliable in the world. So far tonight, this has not been the case. One player in particular, Eric Abidal, is having an absolutely shocking time. He put in Valencia's opening goal for them and his play has once again been responsible for a Valencia goal.
Valencia Vs. Barcelona Live, 2011 La Liga: Pablo Hernandez Puts Los Che Ahead 2-1
Los Che lead by a score of 2-1, thanks to a goal by Pablo Hernandez. Once again, Valencia’s attack came down their overloaded left side. Jordi Alba put in the cross that led to the own goal, but the cross that lead to the second goal was put in by Jeremy Mathieu, the left back. Abidal was caught way out of position and failed to clear the ball, letting it fall to a completely unmarked Pablo Hernandez, who applied a brilliant finish.
