For Valencia, sandwiched between games against Barcelona and Chelsea is a trip away to Sevilla. The scheduling gods have not been kind to Los Che, and they're dealing with it poorly at the moment. Sevilla lead 1-0 at halftime of their La Liga encounter, and it's a well deserved lead. Valencia have not looked sharp in the opening 45 minutes and don't look at all like a team capable of scoring goals.

The goal was scored by Frederic Kanoute, Sevilla’s on again-off again superstar who occasionally likes to show up and take over games. It came in the 18th minute on the counter, where Sevilla have looked very dangerous. Though most of the attacking has come down the left, this one came down the right through Jesus Navas, who assisted Kanoute with a cross.
Roberto Soldado, Dani Parejo and Sergio Canales are all sitting on the Valencia bench. Unai Emery would be wise to make a change and bring one of these players on at halftime, because his current group just isn't getting it done.
