Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon confirmed an earlier report that he has a broken finger. On Twitter, Mondragon added that he is expected to be out 2-4 weeks, and even attached the X-ray that shows the injury:

In his place, the Union will almost surely go with 20-year-old rookie Zac MacMath, who replaced Mondragon at halftime of Saturday's game. MacMath was the No. 5 overall pick in the most recent MLS SuperDraft, but had not played in a MLS game until Saturday. The three-year starter at the University of Maryland did not allow a goal, while making three saves.
The only other option on the Union's roster would be Thorne Holder, a 25-year-old who has never appeared in a MLS game. Incidentally, he was at Maryland the year before MacMath came there.
The Union currently find themselves just two points ahead of the New York Red Bulls and Portland Timbers, who are currently even on points and occupy the final playoff spot. The Union have nine matches remaining this season, with Wednesday's match against the New England Revolution next on their schedule.
