Former United States coach Bob Bradley will try to help get Egypt back to World Cup for first time since 1990.

    Bob Bradley Officially Becomes Egypt National Team Coach

    Almost two weeks after Egypt had said Bob Bradley had agreed to become their national team coach, the former U.S. manager has officially taken over the Pharoahs as they try to return to the World Cup for the first time since 1990. Bradley was introduced at a Saturday press conference.

    Egypt is one of the most decorated teams in all of Africa. The Pharoahs have won a record seven African Cup of Nation titles and have the continents two most powerful club teams.

    Egypt FA Says Bob Bradley Will Take Over National Team Post

    “All is good. Bradley will be here on Sunday to sign the contract,” EFA spokesman Azmy Megahed told the Associated Press.

    Hassan Shehata stepped down as Egypt manager in June with the Pharaohs in the middle of a dreadful Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. Egypt has already been eliminated from qualifying and will not take part in the competition for the first time in 33 years, ending their chances at winning a fourth straight Cup of Nations title.
