Former FC Dallas player and current TV color commentator Bobby Rhine died on Monday of an apparently heart attack. He was 35. He endeared himself to fans and coaches alike mainly through his willingness to do whatever was needed. He was officially listed as a forward for much of his career, but played extensively in the midfield and even played some defense.
Since the news broke on Twitter, well-wishes and condolences have been flooding Rhine’s Twitter account (@bobbyrhine). Rhine was particularly active on social media with his final Tweet telling his followers that he was “Going off the grid for some beach time.”
