Maxwell has had a distinguished career with Ajax, Inter Milan and FC Barcelona, but there hasn't been any place for the Brazilian in the Blaugranas squad as of late. He was always going to be allowed to find a move in January for a reasonable price, and it appears that he will be moving to a club that won't ask him to take a significant pay cut. Barcelona announced today via their official club website that they have agreed to a fee for Maxwell with Paris Saint-Germain and that the player has gone to Paris to discuss personal terms.
FC Barcelona Fullback Maxwell On His Way To Paris Saint-Germain
Barcelona fullback Maxwell is on the verge of a move to Paris Saint-Germain, the Catalan club confirmed Wednesday.

There aren’t expected to be any hang-ups, and Maxwell should be a PSG player shortly. PSG has a respectable starting left back in Siaka Tiene, but little depth behind him. Tiene is currently with the Cote D’Ivoire squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, and will still be with his national team when Ligue 1 play resumes. That gave PSG a reason to act fast, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Maxwell make his debut for PSG as soon as this weekend.
