QPR And Manchester City Agree Fee For Nedum Onuoha

Queens Park Rangers may have acquired AC Milan fullback Taye Taiwo on loan, but they're not done shoring up their defence quite yet. After failing to agree personal terms with Chelsea centre half Alex, they've turned their attention to Manchester City spare Nedum Onuoha, whom the Premier League leaders are more than happy to see leave, and according to ESPN Soccernet the two clubs have reached an agreement for around £3M.

There is, of course, a catch - Onuoha, like all Manchester City players, earns quite a lot of money. He’s reportedly on 60,000 a week with the Qatari-powered giants, which is probably more than QPR can reasonably afford. In fact, that exactly the same wages as Alex was making at Chelsea, meaning that unless Onuoha’s demands are less than Alex’s, this deal could fall apart in exactly the same way the Brazilian’s did. Whether or not that happens appears, at this point, to be entirely up to the player.
