Wayne Bridge’s Sunderland Loan Official

Sunderland have confirmed the Wayne Bridge loan deal, which is terribly exciting official transfer news:

Sunderland have signed Manchester City defender Wayne Bridge, 31, on loan for the rest of the season.

Bridge hasn't played since a loan spell at West Ham United during the latter stages of the 2010/11 season, but he should add another option for Martin O'Neill at left back, and as long as City are playing the bulk of his wages won't be too expensive an addition. No, this move isn't going to set the world on fire, but it's a solid one nonetheless for the Black Cats.
