Augsburg vs. Borussia Dortmund: Final score 1-3, BVB eases past Augsburg
Robert Lewandowski scored twice as Borussia Dortmund beat Augsburg 3-1.

BVB could not have asked for a better start on the road with a goal in the 8th minute. Marco Reus curled in a free kick from the left side, and it struck the far post before going into the goal. The shot left goalkeeper Simon Jentzsch with no chances at saving it.
The rest of the half would belong to Augsburg as they pushed for an equalizer. They pretty much dominated the remaining time, but a resolute Roman Weidenfeller kept them off the scoreboard.
The visitors scored their second of the game just after halftime. Weidenfeller’s long goal kick was flicked on by Mario Götze, and Robert Lewandowski held off two defenders and beat Jentzsch to make it 2-0. The Polish forward got his second of the half in the 70th minute with an easy tap in on an assist from Reus.
Augsburg would grab a late consolation goal thanks to the head of Sasha Mölders, but they couldn’t do enough to challenge the champions on the day.
