This Wednesday is a FIFA date, for reasons unbeknownst to everyone. There’s not really any reason that players should be released from their club teams to play non-competitive matches in the middle of the week in November. Some teams are opting to sit out, while others have been nice to international managers by not calling in certain players. Many players are outright fabricating injuries to avoid having to play.
International friendlies: Because FIFA says so
It’s totally necessary to pull players away from their clubs in mid-November to play some friendlies. Thanks, FIFA! We’d totally rather watch this than club football!

But, we're going to watch these games anyway. So will you. We see 'Spain' or 'United States' on the shirts of guys who take a pitch and we decide to watch, because it's fun.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of international friendlies, just a list of the ones that are potentially fun or important enough that we’re going to watch and write about them.
Schedule (all times ET)
