We weren’t going to include Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goal in our top goals of the week this edition. You’ve all seen it from every possible angle, and frankly, we wanted to show you something else. But it seems that Zlatan has sucked all the talent from the rest of the world in that one act because this was, frankly, a famine of great goals. There were, however, a few other absolute stunners which demanded viewing, and they all turned out to be volleys. To fit the theme, Zlatan makes the cut. But he’s not top....
Goals of the Week: Volleys from hell edition
The thing about volleys is, you’ll never see a bad one. Our top 5 goals of the week are all volleys, and they’re all special.

5. Moussa Sow - Eskisehirspor vs. FENERBAHCE
It's not from a particularly great distance and nor is it a proper overhead kick, but this is still a classy finish from Moussa Sow. Tony Pulis enthusiasts also note that the goal was effectively assisted by a despairing slide-tackle.
4. Michael Bradley - Russia vs. USA
A lovely goal from Michael Bradley, smashing home a classic knockdown to equalise for the US in Krasnodar.
3. Zlatan Ibrahimovic - SWEDEN vs. England
I’m sure you’ve probably heard about this one.
2. Nosa Igiebor - Venezuela vs. NIGERIA
'Volley from hell' doesn't quite do this one justice. This is an absolute scorcher of a goal, and makes Thomas Hitzlsperger look like a toe-poker.
1. Lincoln - CORITIBA vs. Vasco
Lincoln wins, purely because this goal, incredible as it is, is somehow even more difficult than it looks. He has to take down that corner with the most delicate of touches, then suddenly change to hitting it with all his might, all the while getting the spin to direct it into the top corner. Utterly sensational.
