Manchester United vs. Queens Park Rangers: Preview and TV Schedule

New QPR manager Harry Redknapp will watch from the stands as his side face Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Queens Park Rangers will be hoping that the new manager effect will give them a boost as they have a difficult start to life without Mark Hughes, travelling to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

New manager Harry Redknapp will watch the game from the stands, but is likely to go home empty-handed as Manchester United are heavy favourites. The Red Devils have struggled with injury problems this season, but have an almost fully-fit squad as the Premier League approaches the crucial Christmas period.

Sir Alex Ferguson recently had a statue unveiled of him at Old Trafford, but is unlikely to rest on his laurels and will have plenty of players to choose from. Wayne Rooney is fit to start since United's defeat against Norwich, and the return of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones will bolster their defence. Ferguson stated that the Premier League would be a three-horse race, and he will be hoping to clear what should be an easy hurdle for them on Saturday.

Manchester United injuries and suspensions

Out: Shinji Kagawa (knee), Nemanja Vidic (knee), Jonny Evans (thigh)

Queens Park Rangers injuries and suspesions

Out: Bobby Zamora (hip), Andrew Johnson (knee), Fabio (ineligible). In doubt: Park Ji-Sung (knee).

Jonny Evans is back in training for Manchester United, but Alex Ferguson has confirmed that he will not feature against the R’s. Shinji Kagawa is still expected to be out for another two weeks, but Wayne Rooney is fit again following a spell of tonsilitis. Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are also fully fit.

Former Manchester United player and QPR captain Park Ji-Sung may miss his Old Trafford return through injury, while Bobby Zamora and Andrew Johnson are both definitely out. Fabio is ineligible to play as he is on loan from Manchester United.

Match Date\Time: Saturday, 3 p.m. local, 10 a.m. ET
