Copa Del Rey, Round of 32: Mourinho booed as Real Madrid progress, Malaga scrape through

Jose Mourinho was booed by Real Madrid fans as their team cruised to a comfortable win, while Malaga only just scraped through against third-tier Caraceno.

Malaga 0-1 Caraceno (Malaga 4-4 Caraceno aggregate; Malaga go through on away goals)

Manuel Pellegrini avoided having another embarrassing Copa Del Rey exit on his hands after just scraping through against third-tier Caraceno. The manager who famously oversaw Real Madrid's disastrous humiliation at the hands of Alcorcon saw winger Chapi give the Spanish minnows a chance of victory, and had to endure a nervy moment when they scored again, only for the goal to be ruled out through offside. In the end, Malaga hung on to only lose 1-0 - meaning they go through on away goals after their 4-3 victory in the first leg.

Real Madrid 3-0 Alcoyano (Real Madrid 7-1 Alcoyano aggregate)

Jose Mourinho sent out a number of youngsters to get the job done against Alcoyano, including Denis Cherysev, but it was Jose Callejon and Angel Di Maria who got the goals in a comfortable victory. The match was notable, however, for Mourinho attracting some jeers from his home supporters in the wake of their disappointing league campaign.

Rayo Vallecano 0-0 Las Palmas (Rayo Vallecano 0-1 Las Palmas aggregate)

Rayo Vallecano suffered defeat at the hands of second-tier Las Palmas after, incredibly, having their goalkeeper sent off in both legs of the tie. A 0-0 draw was enough for the islanders to progress after winning the first leg.

Real Betis 3-0 Valladolid (Real Betis 3-1 Valladolid aggregate)

Betis picked up where they left off after their weekend triumph over Real Madrid by overturning the deficit from the first leg to beat Valladolid 3-0 and progress to the next round.

Osasuna 2-0 Sporting Gijon (Osasuna 2-1 Sporting Gijon aggregate)

Osasuna needed a 2-0 win to progress after losing the away leg, and did exactly that to ensure their progress thanks to goals from Joseba Llorente and Ruben.

Real Sociedad 2-2 Cordoba (Real Sociedad 2-4 Cordoba aggregate)

Real Socieded needed a 2-0 win to take the game to extra time, and Antoine Griezmann gave them hope early on by giving them a 1-0 lead, but second-tier Cordoba struck back with a brace to make their task impossible. A late consolation from Agirretxe was not enough for the hosts.
