By the end of the day Borussia Dortmund would be sitting eleven points behind first place Bayern Munich after a scoreless draw at Signal Iduna Park against Stuttgart. The last time these two sides met in Dortmund there were eight goals between them in a 4-4 draw, but great goalkeeping partnered with the goal posts to keep both sides from finding the back of the net.

Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart played to a scoreless draw. The single point is costly for BVB as they now sit eleven points behind Bayern Munich.

The two sides exchanged chances early, but goalkeepers Roman Weidenfeller and Sven Ulreich were up to the task early. As the match began to settle into the first half, BVB began to assert a little more control. Mats Hummels set up Marcel Schmelzer with a nice pass, but the left back’s shot was wide of the goal.
Hummels then came close himself. He was stonewalled on his header by Ulreich, and Stuttgart defender Arthur Boka cleared his follow-up attempt off of the line to deny the German international.
Vedad Ibisevic nearly put Stuttgart on top twice late in the second half, but he failed to beat Weidenfeller both times.
