Paris Saint-Germain vs. Dinamo Zagreb, 2012 UEFA Champions League: Preview and TV Schedule

Paris Saint-Germain face what should be an easy victory as they take on Dinamo Zagreb at Parc des Princes tonight.

Paris Saint-Germain have been disappointing since Carlo Ancelotti’s takeover in terms of performances if not necessarily results, but they should face a simple victory tonight against a Dinamo Zagreb side that have yet to earn a point or score a goal in the competition.

Le PSG did, however, suffer their first home defeat at the weekend in a game in which Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent off, but despite their wobbly displays, should still record a comfortable win here. Dinamo coach Ante Cacic spoke of the possibility of gaining a result “if we keep it at 0-0 for a while”, which is likely managerspeak for his side intending to park the bus and hope for the best.

Zagreb will be sweating over the fitness of Sammir, a key player for them both in terms of creativity and goalscoring. The midfielder has scored 11 goals in 12 games this season, but he is an injury doubt for the game. PSG have their own injury problems, but have a far deeper squad and should be able to get a comfortable victory here.

Paris Saint-Germain injuries and suspensions

Out: Clément Chantôme, Nenê (cheekbone), Thiago Motta (back), Diego Lugano (knee).

Dinamo Zagreb injuries and suspensions

Out: Ivan Tomecak (Pubic bone), Ivan Krstanovic, Ivan Peko. In doubt: Sammir (hamstring).

Dinamo Zagreb’s task will not be made any easier by some injuries to key players including Ivan Tomecak, with Sammir a considerable doubt.

Le PSG welcome back Blaise Matuidi and Ezequiel Lavezzi from thigh problems, but it is unlikely that either will start tonight's game.
