Andy Carroll ruled out for six weeks with knee injury
West Ham and Liverpool striker Andy Carroll will be unavailable for almost two months after picking up a knee injury against Manchester United.

It is the second injury Carroll has suffered this season, and comes shortly after he had opened his account for West Ham after scoring against Tottenham.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce said that he hoped his side could remain strong in his absence, saying: "Andy Carroll's injury is pretty severe. We didn't expect it to be quite as severe. It's going to be about six to eight weeks. It's a blow for us and Andy. We must soldier on. The lads out there have plenty of experience but we are a bit light on the bench.""
