The quarterfinal draw for the 2012-13 DFB Pokal took place Wednesday night after the completion of the third round. The big match of the round sees Bayern Munich host Borussia Dortmund.

Only an hour after the third round of the DFB Pokal was completed, Olaf Thon and Helmut Sandrock completed the drawing for the quarterfinals.

The headliner of the draw is the rematch of last year’s DFB Pokal Final between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena. BVB won the final 5-2 in stunning fashion. The two faced each other in the league on December 1, and the two played a 1-1 draw.

Freiburg visiting Mainz is the other big contest of the round. Both sides have played excellent under the leadership of Christian Streich and Thomas Tuchel this season and are positioned well heading into the winter break in fifth and sixth place.

The two lower division sides still in the match face Bundesliga opposition. Wolfsburg travel to 3.Liga side Kickers Offenbach, while Stuttgart host the 2.Bundesliga’s Bochum.

Quarterfinals, February 26-27
