Nürnberg grabbed a 90th minute goal to seal a 2-0 victory over Fortuna Düsseldorf and put a little more space between them and the relegation zone.

Markus Feulner received a start as Hiroshi Kiyotake was out with the flu. Feulner was the provider on the first goal with a cross into Sebastian Polter, and the forward poked the ball past Fabian Giefer for the 1-0 lead.

Düsseldorf nearly equalized in the 60th minute, but Timothy Chandler cleared Dani Schahin's header off the line. While they controlled the majority of the possession in the match, Düsseldorf were just unable to really threaten Raphael Schäfer in the Nürnberg goal. This was their last real chance of the match.

Feulner made it 2-0 in stoppage time with a shot from just outside the penalty area. The win moves Nürnberg seven points out of the relegation zone. While Düsseldorf didn’t take any points, they remain six points clear.
