Barcelona Vs. Valencia, 2012 La Liga: Pablo Piatti Gives Los Che The Lead

Valencia has taken a shocking lead over Barcelona at the Camp Nou thanks to Sofiane Feghouli and Pablo Piatti. Los Che are without Ever Banega, Pablo Hernandez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Canales in their starting XI on Sunday night, but Unai Emery appears to have made the right choices with his team and their play. On a counter attack (do they know any other way to score?) Piatti finished a chance to give Valencia a 1-0 lead early in the first half.

Feghouli provided the assist with a cross in the 9th minute, where Piatti was very poorly marked. Starting on the left side of midfield, he had been cutting to the inside a lot in the early going, and he found space to score doing exactly that. With Daniel Alves suspended, Martin Montoya made a rare start at right back and he failed to track Piatti's run as he cut into the center of the box to get onto Feghouli's cross. The little Argentine touched it in with his left foot, and now Barcelona is surprisingly playing from behind.
