Paris Saint-Germain Vs. Montpellier, 2012 Ligue 1: Hourau Draws PSG Level

Well, so much for Montpellier's lead. The second place team had managed just five minutes of being in the lead against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes, only for Carlo Ancelotti's side to strike back. It was the combination of Javier Pastore and Jeremy Menez that did the trick. With the Argentinian playmaker feeding the winger on the left flank, this left Menez to cut inside Mapou Yangambiwa and slide the ball across the six-yard box to Guillaime Hourau.

Hourau made no mistake, slotting past Goeffrey Jourdren and Henry Bedimo on the line for his first Ligue 1 goal of the season. That goal has really lifted the hosts’ spirits, and they look likely to snatch the game now. They don’t deserve a victory, but they’ve responded superbly to going down. At this point, I’m sure both teams will be reasoanbly happy with a draw that would restore the status quo at the top of the table.
