John Terry Injury: Chelsea Defender Reportedly Out For Napoli Match

According to a report at The Guardian, defender John Terry will not suit up for Chelsea against Napoli in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening. Terry has been recovering from a knee injury and was widely expected to make his return to the team for this Champions League fixture, but was not able to recover in time.

More likely than not, this means that Chelsea will play with a central defense partnership of Gary Cahill and David Luiz. This will be Cahill's debut in the Champions League, and won't be receiving an easy assignment for his debut. He'll likely be seeing quite a bit of Edinson Cavani. In his year and a half at Napoli, Cavani has scored 55 goals in 77 games across all competitions.

The England national team plays a friendly against the Netherlands next week, and Terry is expected to miss that match as well.
