Brazil Vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina: Seleção Steal Late Victory

Brazil put together a solid 90 minute performance against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday in Switzerland, but didn't come away with a comfortable result. Thanks to some good defending by Bosnia, a defensive error by David Luiz and some poor finishing by Brazil, they left it late, but eventually found a goal in stoppage time of their 2-1 victory.

Real Madrid left back Marcelo scored the opening goal early on, in the 4th minute. After a scuffle that looked like it was going to result in a foul being called against Bosnia, but instead resulted in the referee waiving play on, Dani Alves picked up the ball on the right. He cut in and played a beautiful pass to the left wing, where Marcelo arrived late and struck a first-time finish into the back of the net.

David Luiz got off to a brilliant start for Brazil, dispossessing Edin Dzeko on multiple occasions, but his mistakes led to Bosnia's goal. In the 13th mintue, he gave the ball away, then backed off Vedad Ibesevic, giving the Stuttgart man plenty of time and space to hit a shot. He placed a shot past Julio Cesar, equalizing the match.

Brazil's midfield would control play for the rest of the match, but they were unable to score again until stoppage time. Marcelo played Hulk into space down the left flank in the 91st minute and he hit a powerful low cross into the center. It appeared that Neymar was going to get on the end of the ball, but instead the ball hit off of Sasa Papac and deflected into the back of the net for an own goal winner that was harsh on Papac, who had played a brilliant game up until that point.
