Games between Real Madrid and Barcelona do not fit the taste of all football fans. Some people find the consistent diving and berating of the officials to be completely intolerable, even though they make up perhaps two percent of the entire duration of what is otherwise an absolutely brilliant football match. And that's what all of the games between the two teams are -- brilliant football matches. Based on what Manchester United and Manchester City have done this season, it's obvious that they're the two best teams in the world. Don't we want to see as much of them as possible?
UEFA Champions League Draw 2012: Who Wants A Pre-Final Clasico?
A final between Real Madrid and Barcelona would be an absolute dream final for the two clubs and for UEFA, who will be backing up money trucks to the Allianz Arena if it happens. That final, however, denies the public an extra game. If they meet in the quarterfinals or semifinals, they have to play twice.
If you’re a fan of El Clasico or of good football matches in general, you don’t want a Madrid - Barca final. You want them to end up on the same half of Friday’s draw. Hopefully we’re lucky enough to get it.
