Monterrey clearly want to win a second consecutive CONCACAF Champions League title. They have most of their big guns in the lineup as they get ready to host the first leg of their semifinal tie, but their opponents, Pumas UNAM, do not. Much of Pumas’ first team is left out of their team for tonight as they focus on the league, where they are seven points out of a Liguilla place and desperately need wins.

With Pumas resting many of their best players, Monterrey should have a chance to open up a big lead at home. Humberto Suazo will be leading the line and as he proved last season, he loves playing in the Champions League. Monterrey’s bid for another CONCACAF title is looking good.
