Timbers Army Putting Nice Twist On ‘Show Racism The Red Card’ Display

This weekend, supporters groups around MLS are putting together displays in support of “Show Racism the Red Card,” a somewhat self-explanatory movement that originated in the United Kingdom. In Portland, though, the Timbers Army is putting an interesting twist on it by making it more of a double-edged statement.

↵The hoodies are meant to be a show of support of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teen who was gunned down by a self-appointed neighborhood watchman. Timbers Army is planning to put their hoodies up after the national anthem.
